When it Comes to Preventative Care, Consumers Aren't Getting the Message

New research from HealthMine shows that three quarters of adults between ages 24 to 64 who are enrolled in an employer-sponsored health plan believe that their plan has never alerted them to a health risk. More communication about health risk is beneficial for patients trying to avert illness and complications. It is also better for insurers as improved direct communication can help change participants’ habits and reduce treatment costs in the long-term.
